Technology Innovation Center Award 2012
Hybrid Technology Solutions has been a part of the Technology Innovation Center (TIC) business incubation programme from Day 1 when the company was founded.
The Technology Innovation Center is the English Speaking Caribeean’s first business incubator. TIC is a state of the art business incubator that physically supports the businesses within the programme with: 25 air conditioned office suites, 4 light production manufacturing bays, a canteen, a mail room, 3 meeting rooms and a conference room.

The Technology Innovation Center also provides support services such as mentoring, reduced rent that is inclusive of professional administrative services, utilities and internet.
TIC’s mission is to positively impact the economy of Jamaica through the transformation of small and medium enterprises into profitable, sustainable entities by promoting entrepreneurship and the infusion of technology innovation. The center nurtures and assists businesses in varying sectors, but focuses on the Information Technology sector and businesses that use IT extensively in delivering their products and services.
TIC has four programmes – Residential, Associate (Premium and Platinum), Virtual and Anchor.
Every year, the center awards businesses and its Owners at a Graduation and Awards Ceremony. This ceremony celebrates the graduation of companies which have successfully made it through three three (3) year programme and emit the center to setup business elsewhere, giving other new businesses the opportunity to do the same.

The ceremony is also used to award companies/Entrepreneurs that have done exceptionally well for that year. Hybrid is a part of the “Premium Associate” programme and for 2012, we were awarded the
Best Premium Associate Company of 2012
2012 saw Hybrid proving is Market Leadership and Technology Leadership values, which has been a part of our Goals and Objectives from Day 1.
Some of our stand out achievements in 2012 we were:
- 1st Place – Caribbean BETA 2012 PitchFest – December 2012
- 2nd Place SlashRoots Caribbean Developer Competition – December 2012
- 1st Place Digital Jam 2.0 Sports Hackathon – July 2012
- Runner Up Digital Jam 2.0 Mobile Apps Competition – July 2012
Also, for the first time, we also worked extensively with The RJR Communications Group which saw us developing a myriad of mobile applications for their portfolio brands across Android, Blackberry and Apple platforms. The RJR Communications Group is the largest electronic media entity in the English Speaking Caribbean.
